and purification. AquaPlasmidTM
is for plasmid DNA isolation and purification. AquaGenomicTM
is for genomic DNA isolation and purification. Both products are
nontoxic, inexpensive, scalable, simple to use, and produce high
quality DNA.
AquaPlasmidTM
AquaPlasmidTM
is a
multi-functional aqueous solution for the isolation and
purification of plasmid DNA. This single solution achieves cell
lysis, plasmid DNA extraction, and debris removal in a single
step. Since the cells are lysed by a non-alkaline and
non-boiling method, the plasmid DNA is not denatured and
maintains it native conformation. The protocol is
scalable. Mini, midi, and maxiprep can be completed in as little
as 30 minutes. The plasmid DNA yield could be up to 20 ug/ml
culture. A260/A280 of the isolated plasmid DNA is 1.8-2.0.

AquaGenomicTM
AquaGenomicTM
is a nontoxic aqueous solution for genomic DNA isolation and
purification from a variety of cells and tissues. It is a
multi-functional "magic" solution. It can be used to suspend the
cells, lyse the cells, extract the DNA, and precipitate other
cellular components in a single step. AquaGenomicTM
probably is the simplest and most powerful genomic DNA
extraction solution ever developed. You simply add AquaGenomic
Solution to the cell pellet, vortex to extract the DNA,
centrifuge to remove cell debris, and then add isopropanol to
precipitate pure genomic DNA. Mini, midi, maxi, or even tissue
prep can be completed in as little as 15 minutes. The yield is
about 5-10 ug DNA from 1-2 million cultured human cells, 200 ul
of whole blood, 15 mg of feces, 1 ml of microbial cultures, 5-10
mg of animal tissues, or 10-20 mg of plant tissues. A260/A280 of
the isolated genomic DNA is ~1.6-1.8.
