Tag AntibodiesThese antibodies can be used in conjugation with anti-rabbit secondary antibodies, such as anti-rabbit HRP (catalog # SAB1003), to readily detect the proteins in assays such as western blotting (standard western blot protocol). Protein A/G or anti-rabbit conjugated agarose beads can be used to pull down the expressed protein after cleavage and dialysis of the lysed cells and probing with the antibody. Anti-TAP Antibody1
TAP (tandem affinity purification) is a procedure that was developed to
purify proteins expressed at their natural level and under native
conditions. This strategy allows the rapid purification of complexes
from a relatively small number of cells without prior knowledge of the
complex composition, activity or function. The TAP strategy when
combined with mass spectrometry allows for identification of proteins
interacting with any given target protein. The TAP antibody has been
validated through assay specific applications testing and by
electrophoresis confirming purity and identity.
Description: Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained from the immunization of purified KLH-conjugated peptide representing the c-terminus of the TAP construct after TEV cleavage. The immunizing sequence is CSSGALDYDIPTTASENLYFQ. Serum is collected and antibodies were purified by affinity chromatography against the free immunizing peptide. 50 µg of affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody (0.5mg/ml) is supplied which is enough for approximately 10-20 tests.
