Tag Antibodies

These antibodies can be used in conjugation with anti-rabbit secondary antibodies, such as anti-rabbit HRP (catalog # SAB1003), to readily detect the proteins in assays such as western blotting (standard western blot protocol). Protein A/G or anti-rabbit conjugated agarose beads can be used to pull down the expressed protein after cleavage and dialysis of the lysed cells and probing with the antibody.

Anti-TAP Antibody1

TAP (tandem affinity purification) is a procedure that was developed to purify proteins expressed at their natural level and under native conditions.  This strategy allows the rapid purification of complexes from a relatively small number of cells without prior knowledge of the complex composition, activity or function.  The TAP strategy when combined with mass spectrometry allows for identification of proteins interacting with any given target protein.  The TAP antibody has been validated through assay specific applications testing and by electrophoresis confirming purity and identity.

Description:

Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained from the immunization of purified KLH-conjugated peptide representing the c-terminus of the TAP construct after TEV cleavage.  The immunizing sequence is CSSGALDYDIPTTASENLYFQ. Serum is collected and antibodies were purified by affinity chromatography against the free immunizing peptide. 50 µg of affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody (0.5mg/ml) is supplied which is enough for approximately 10-20 tests.

Anti-HA Antibody2

The HA tag antibody has been developed by Open Biosystems for the detection of yeast proteins in the HA-tagged yeast collection and yeast ORF fusion collection. Both of these collections contain individual clones expressing single genes with the hemagglutinin epitope tag (HA tag) directly fused. The versatile
19-kDa tandem fusion tag on the yeast ORFs facilitates a range of detection and affinity purification strategies by also incorporating a 6xHis tag and the protein A ZZ domain for reactivity against most mammalian gamma immunoglobins (IgG).

Description:

Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained from the immunization of purified KLH-conjugated peptide representing the published peptide sequence for the HA tag. Serum is collected and antibodies purified by affinity chromatography against the free immunizing peptide linked to sepharose 4B (GE Healthcare). 50 µg of affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody (0.16mg/mL) is supplied which is enough for approximately 10-25 tests.
