ZeptoBlock is a
proprietary immunoassay reagent formulated to block
nonspecific binding sites of microwell plates to which
antigen or antibody has been applied, thus minimizing
interfering substances and cross reactivity. The reagent is
supplied in a liquid, ready-to-use format. |
RECOMMENDED
USAGE |
|
To optimize
the assay, ZeptoBlock is applied to block nonspecific
binding sites on microwell plates after antigen or antibody
has been bound to the plates. Although other compounds
including whole serum, albumin, casein or gelatin can be
used as blocking agents, ZeptoBlock is specifically
formulated for this purpose. Add 200 µl of ZeptoBlock to
each microwell and incubate for 2 hours at room temperature.
Aspirate the remaining solution. Store plate at 4°C in a
resealable bag with a desiccant.
Although
ZeptoBlock may be used alone, to optimize stability of the
prepared plates, we recommend using an immunoassay
stabilizing reagent such as ZeptoCoat. After aspirating
ZeptoBlock from the plate, add 100 µl of ZeptoCoat to each
well. Incubate for 1 hour at room temperature. Aspirate the
remaining solution and allow the plate to dry for a minimum
of 4 hours prior to sealing in a bag with a desiccant. Store
at 4°C. |
