Recombinant Human
Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor (rhM-CSF), previously referred to
as CSF 1, is an important biological protein that mediates the process
of clonal growth and maintenance of monocytes and macrophages. CELLKINES
rhM-CSF is a recombinant protein of high specific activity and purity.
The rhM-CSF is a homodimer protein produced from the long cDNA clone of
Ladner, et al. The transmembrane region of the gene has been deleted by
C terminal truncation. CELLKINES rhM-CSF is diluted in 0.25% human serum
albumin (heat inactivated) and sterile filtered. |

USAGE |

CELLKINES rhM-CSF is
valuable in a variety of studies aimed at the mechanism of
M-CSF/receptor interaction, regulation of growth cycle progression and
stimulation of monocytes and macrophages. It can be used for in
vitro laboratory study of myeloid leukemias, trophoblast cells and
choriocarcinomas, all of which express receptors for rhM-CSF. This human
protein is fully active on murine cells. When used for tissue culture
work, it is recommended that this product be further diluted in tissue
culture media (containing either fetal calf serum or human serum)
compatible with the experimental system. |

AND STABILITY |

for one year when stored at -20° C .
Store in working aliquots at -20ºC to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
