The ULTRAN® - Process membrane cassette system is
conceived for production scale for filtration volumes higher
than 100 litres. The design and the stainless steel quality meet
the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
Depending on the application the ULTRAN - Process stainless
steel filter holder can be operated with 1-20 ULTRAN - Process
membrane cassettes. The small overall weight and the modular
construction allows for easy cassette change and of the
individual part by one operator. Impurities of the drillings in
the basis plate prevented by O-ring sealing of the titanium
threaded rods.
Double feed and retentate ports enable through a double sided
incoming flow an optimal crossflow. An improved cleaning of the
membrane surface is obtained by crosswise flow. The filter
holder can be completely emptied by the construction of the
filtrate connections. The small dead volume makes the operation
of only one membrane cassette possible.
