CONTAIN™Filters for Insufflation/Minimally Invasive Surgery
Definition: Laparoscopic procedures typically require the use of
an insufflator to pump clean CO2 gas into a patient's abdomen to inflate
it and thereby facilitate minimally invasive surgery.
Requirements: CONTAIN™filters help prevent contamination from
CO2 tank/equipment debris, stop backflow of body fluids (reflux) that
can contaminate equipment and eliminate subsequent cross-contamination
between patients. Specifically, CONTAIN™filtration solutions offer
hydrophobicity, are bidirectional and provide high flow rate with low
pressure drop.
Benefits: CONTAIN™filters reduce the incidence of patient
infection and equipment damage during diagnostic and minimally invasive
surgical procedures.
