E. coli DNA polymerase I (Klenow) is a DNA polymerase with an
associated 3’ to 5’ exonuclease activity and lacks any 5’ to 3’
exonuclease activity. This enzyme is used in a variety of experiments
including DNA end labeling of 3’ recessed ends and DNA sequencing. |
