Modular Vertical Electrophoresis

The CSL omniPAGE range of Modular Vertical Gel Systems allow multiple electrophoresis techniques to be performed in the same unit. Using the same base tank and lid, three different modules can be inserted for slab gel, tube gel and electroblotting techniques. These systems are available in two size options, Mini 10 x 10cm and Maxi 20 x 20cm and can be purchased as individual, combination or complete Modular systems. Combination and modular systems provide the maximum in economy of cost and space and have the added benefit of increased consistency which comes from using the same core unit.

       Mini and Maxi Complete Modular        Systems

 These include all modules and accessories required for Slab Gel Electrophoresis, 2-D Electrophoresis and Electroblotting. The core unit is the omniPAGE Mini Vertical unit or omniPAGE Maxi Vertical unit which include a rapid and intuitive casting system, enhanced and easy to set up cooling system and have increased capacity - can run up to four gels per time. Added to this is the omniPAGE Tube gel module which is capable of resolving up to 10 first dimension gels and the Electroblotting module which has a three blot capacity. The package additionally includes all the necessary accessories for Slab Gel, first dimension and Electroblotting. All techniques benefit from the rapid set up cooling blocks of the core units which provide enhanced resolution even during high intensity blotting.

        Mini and Maxi Complete 2-D Systems

These include both modules required for Slab Gel and First Dimension Electrophoresis and accessories, offering a complete Mini or Maxi 2-D system. The Tube Gel Module includes a rapid release gasket for easy tube extraction and focusing can be accomplished in as little as three hours in the Mini Unit. Disposable capillary tubes are included for added convenience, along with 2-D combs and spacers which are colour coded for thickness and easy identification.

          Mini and Maxi Complete Electroblotting         Systems

These include both modules required for Slab Gel Electrophoresis and Electroblotting and accessories, offering a complete Mini or Maxi Gel casting, running and electroblotting system. The Electroblotting module includes three inter-locking cassettes and six fibre pads. A high intensity current is generated by coiled platinum electrodes. These in conjunction with the advanced cooling features allow rapid electroblotting in as little as one hour.
