CSL MiniRapide Horizontal Electrophoresis

The CSL MiniRapide Horizontal Gel Unit offers a convenient self contained solution for routine agarose gel electrophoresis. Gel casting, running and analysis are all performed in the same ultra compact unit allowing the maximum in convenience.

The CSL MiniRapide is also one of the most economic units available.

Buffer and gel volumes have been kept to a minimum and the parallel electrode arrangement allows fast sample resolution. Electrodes, which are located just 10mm adjacent to either end of the gel, provide ultra efficient current transfer and enable resolution to be complete within 30 minutes.

The unit is completely UV transparent enabling transfer of the unit onto a UV Transilluminator for sample viewing. This ensures there is no requirement for gel or tray removal, processes which are time consuming and can also lead to gel damage.

Gel casting is performed using machined casting gates which locate into grooves in the base of the unit. The bottom edge of these gates has been widened to provide a completely leak proof seal. Once casting is complete, the casting gates are removed for gel running.

Dual comb slots allow the loading of up to 40 samples per gel. Multi channel pipette compatible combs further enhance the speed and convenience of this unit.

The ultra compact dimensions of this unit ensure the minimum of lab bench space is occupied.  

An extensive range of combs enhances the convenience of the MiniRapidet.

This includes durable interchangeable combs for sample prep, multi channel pipette loading and high sample number.

The units incorporate inexpensive and easy to replace electrodes ensuring minimum repair times.

Included as standard are corrosion resistant, 99.99% pure platinum electrodes and lid connectors compatible with most major power supplies. Adapters are available for other power supplies to provide complete power supply compatibility.

All comb options are available in two different thicknesses – 1mm for ultra resolved bands, 1.5mm for maximization of sample volume.
