Description: Catalytic domain, (Gene bank accession No. BC016727), (a.a. 2-315)with N-terminal GST tag, MW=62.3 kDa, expressed in an E.coli expression system.

Formulated in: 25 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 75 mM NaCl, 0.05% Tween-20, 50% glycerol, 2 mM EDTA, 3 mM DTT.

Stability: 6 months at –80°C

Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE.

Specific Activity: 10 U/ug. One unit will hydrolyze 1 nmol p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at pH 7.4 and 30°C

Assay buffer: 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.4, 2 mM EDTA, 3 mM DTT, 100 mM NaCl, 50 mM pNPP and 4 ug/ml enzyme.

Application: useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, regulation, to dephosphorylate target substrates and for screening inhibitors.
