CellBriteTM Blue
Cytoplasmic Membrane-Labeling Kit |
|
Kit Components:
- DiB cell-labeling solution
Description:
CellBriteTM Blue Cytoplasmic
Membrane- Labeling Kit is designed to label cell cytoplasmic membranes
with blue fluorescence. The labeling is stable and nontoxic, suitable
for long-term tracking of cells. The kit utilizes Biotium? newly
developed blue fluorescent membrane dye DiB (lex\lem=
~360/420 nm) predissolved as an optimized staining solution. Similar
to our lipophilic carbocyanine dyes, DiB has long hydrocarbon chains
that insert into the lipid bilayer, resulting in stable labeling which
is resistant to intercellular dye transfer (1). Cell
staining is accomplished by adding the supplied dye solution directly
to normal culture media, followed by a brief incubation period. By
combining with our other CellBriteTM membrane stains
(#30021, #30022 and #30023), one can label multiple cell populations
with distinctive colors, a capability useful for the studies of
cell-cell interactions.
Features:
- Simple: Cell staining by direct addition of the supplied
dye solution to normal culture media.
- Stable Labeling: Highly lipophilic dye ensuring no dye
transfer between cells.
- Bright, Photostable and Nontoxic: Use of unique blue
fluorescent membrane dye with high quantum yield, high photostability
and relatively low toxicity.

CellBriteTM
Green Cytoplasmic Membrane-Labeling Kit |
|
Kit Components:
- Neuro-DiO cell-labeling solution
Description:
CellBriteTM Green Cytoplasmic
Membrane- Labeling Kit is designed to label cell cytoplasmic membranes
with green fluorescence (λabs/λem = 484/501nm) . The labeling is
stable and nontoxic, suitable for long-term tracking of cells. The kit
utilizes the highly green fluorescent and lipophilic membrane dye
Neuro-DiO (#60015) predissolved as an optimized staining solution.
Neuro-DiO was developed by Biotium as an alternative to the
traditional membrane dye DiO to overcome the low solubility and
aggregation problems of the latter. Similar to other lipophilic
carbocyanine dyes, Neuro-DiO has two long C18 hydrocarbon chains that
insert into the lipid bilayer, resulting in stable labeling which is
resistant to intercellular dye transfer (1). Moreover,
Neuro-DiO is very photostable, which should facilitate microscopic
studies of the stained cells. Cell staining is accomplished by adding
the supplied dye solution directly to normal culture media, followed
by a brief incubation period. By combining with our other CellBriteTM
membrane stains (#30022, #30023 and #30024), one can label multiple
cell populations with distinctive colors, a capability useful for the
studies of cell-cell interactions.
Features:
- Simple: Cell staining by direct addition of the supplied
dye solution to normal culture media.
- Stable Labeling: Highly lipophilic cyanine dye ensuring no
dye transfer between cells.
- Bright, Photostable and Nontoxic: Use of carbocyanine dye
with high fluorescent quantum yield, high photostability and
relatively low toxicity.

Orange Cytoplasmic Membrane-Labeling Kit |
|
Kit Components:
- DiI cell-labeling solution
Description:
CellBriteTM Orange Cytoplasmic
Membrane- Labeling Kit is designed to label cell cytoplasmic membranes
with orange-red fluorescence (labs/lem
= 549/565nm). The labeling is stable and nontoxic, suitable for
long-term tracking of cells. The kit utilizes the highly orange-red
fluorescent and lipophilic membrane dye DiI (#60010) predissolved as
an optimized staining solution. Similar to our other lipophilic
carbocyanine dyes, DiI has two long C18 hydrocarbon chains that insert
into the lipid bilayer, resulting in stable labeling which is
resistant to intercellular dye transfer (1). Moreover, DiI
is very photostable, which should facilitate microscopic studies of
the stained cells. Cell staining is accomplished by adding the
