• Excellent value and good
clarity.
• High gel strength
(>1500g/cm2).
• Free from DNase and RNase.
- Description
Bioline agarose is a
high-purity, molecular-grade
agarose free from DNase and
RNase contamination. The
high gel strength means that
gels as low as 0.5% are
practicable.
- Applications
• Ideal for separation of a
wide size range of nucleic
acids, especially large
fragments (>10kb).
- Storage Conditions
Agarose should be stored at
room temperature in dry
conditions.

- Description
- Bioline’s new no-mess
Agarose Tablets represents a
new advance in convenience
products for the laboratory.
Each tablet contains a
pre-determined amount of
agarose (0.5g agarose per
tablet), removing the need
to weigh out loose agarose
powder. Agarose Tablets
require 5-6 minutes
incubation at room
temperature in buffer prior
to heating*. This incubation
step softens and the
dissolves the tablet in the
buffer. Once dissolved,
proceed as normal, heating
the agarose solution,
preferably using a
microwave. Bioline Agarose
Tablets have the same
specification as Bioline
Molecular Grade Agarose
powder and are suitable for
all routine applications.
* The time needed to
dissolve the tablet is
dependant on the laboratory
temperature. Please, do not
microwave the tablet in the
buffer immediately, as this
will cause formation of
smaller insoluble pellets.
The room temperature
incubation step, prior to
heating, is important to
achieve a homogeneous mix.
- Applications
- • Ideal for separation
of a wide size range of
nucleic acids.

of nucleic acids, giving
almost 100% recovery of
as low as 25bp
fragments.
- Suitable for
sequencing.
- Free of DNA, RNA or
protein.
- Supplied with buffer
for optimum performance.

downstream applications.
- Description
Visible DNA pellets.
Bioline has introduced a
range of Co-Precipitants:
Glycogen (Isolated from
Oyster) and Linear
Polyacrylamides (colourless,
pink and orange) to aid
recovery of nucleic acids
during salt/alcohol
precipitations. Using a
simple and rapid procedure,
Co-Precipitants can be used
for the quantitative
recovery of small amounts of
nucleic acids within dilute
solutions, and are suitable
for most applications,
including precipitation of
DNA for sequencing and after
enzymatic manipulations, as
well as the precipitation of
RNA from different sources.
Specially treated
Co-Precipitants do not
contain detectable amounts
of nucleic acids, thus
allowing the use of
precipitates for standard
and RT-PCR and other
enzymatic reactions, that
may otherwise be inhibited
by untreated polysaccharide
alternatives.
- Applications
Recovery of DNA and RNA for
sequencing and other
enzymatic treatment.
- Notes
Glycoprecipitant is free of
background polynucleotides,
DNA and RNA-binding
proteins, proteases, DNases
and RNases. However, some
enzymatic reactions may be
inhibited by the presence of
polysaccharides.
Colourless Polyacrylamide is
the only Co-Precipitant
suitable for spectral
determination of nucleic
acid within the 260nm-280nm
range.
- Storage Conditions
Co-Precipitants can be
stored for 18 months at
-20°C in a
constant-temperature
freezer.

- Product Description
- Half-Dye Mix has been
designed to reduce the costs
involved in auto-sequencing,
by reducing the amount of
dye-terminator needed in a
reaction. Many sequencing
reactions leave up to 80% of
dye-terminators unused,
which normally require
removal prior to sequencing.
Half-Dye Mix addresses this
inefficiency, by providing
the necessary reaction
conditions to allow for a
lower proportion of
dye-terminator in the
reaction mix, hence reducing
the amount of unused dye
terminators that need
removal, and thus allowing
many more reactions from
every purchase of
dye-terminator.
It works by providing
optimal buffer conditions
which allow up to a 5-fold
dilution of dye-terminator
without any loss in
sequencing quality. Half-dye
is suitable for sequencing
of both Plasmid and PCR
templates and requires no
optimisation.
- Features
- • Reduces requirement
for BigDye(8)
• Half-Dye Mix can reduce
auto-sequencing costs
significantly
• Supplied in ready-to-use
format
- Applications
- • Autosequencing.
