Human PDGF-AA homodimer is produced by
genetically engineered yeast, and purified by ionic
exchange chromatography and reverse-phase HPLC. This
polypeptide is composed of two identical polypeptide
chains attached by disulfide bonds.

by the mitogenic assay involving the stimulation of
3H-thymidine incorporation into NIH-3T3 cells.
