Thromboxane A2 (TXA2) is formed from PGH2,
the endoperoxide intermediate of arachidonic acid. One of the major
compounds produced by activated platelets, Thromboxane A2 is
a powerful stimulant of platelet aggregation, leukocytes,
vasoconstriction, and multiple reproductive functions. Under
physiological conditions, Thromboxane A2 has a brief
half-life of 37 seconds, therefore production of Thromboxane A2
in vivo is typically monitored by measurement of the stable
non-enzymatic hydration product Thromboxane B2 (TXB2).

1. Pipet Standards and Samples in duplicate into the wells.
2. Pipet the blue Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugate followed by the yellow
Antibody into the wells and incubate.
3. Aspirate and wash the plate.
4. Pipet Substrate into the wells and incubate.
5. EIA: Pipet Stop Solution and read on a plate reader at 405 nm.
CLIA: Read in a suitable luminometer or luminescence detector.
6. Calculate sample concentrations from Standard Curve.
