Substance P Sequence:
H-Arg-Pro-Lys-Pro-Gln-Gln-Phe-Phe-Gly-Leu-Met-NH2
Substance P is a undecapeptide that displays a number of biological
activities. Substance P is synthesized in the ribosomes as a larger
protein and then enzymatically converted into the active peptide. The
peptide is widely distributed in the peripheral and central nervous
systems of vertebrates, where it is thought to act as a
neurotransmitter. In the peripheral system, Substance P is localized in
the primary sensory neurons and neurons intrinsic to the
gastrointestinal tract.
1. Pipet Standards and Samples in duplicate into the wells.
2. Pipet the blue Conjugate followed by the yellow Antibody into the
wells and incubate.
3. Aspirate and wash the plate.
4. Pipet Substrate into the wells and incubate.
5. EIA: Pipet Stop Solution and read on a plate reader at 405 nm.
CLIA: Read in a suitable luminometer or luminescence detector.
6. Calculate sample concentrations from Standard Curve.
