sequence of yeast Lys20p and Lys21p. |

Specificity: Lys20p and Lys21p
are two isozymes of yeast homocitrate synthase. Their systematic
names YDL182W and YDL131W respectively. Lys20p is of molecular
size 47.1 kDa and Lys21p is 48.6 kDa; they are ~90% identical at
the amino acid level. 31F5 detects both proteins as a closely
spaced doublet on immunoblots. |

Formulation: 1mg/ml in PBS, pH
7.4 with 0.05% sodium azide. Frozen liquid. |

Storage/Stability: Stable for
one year at –20ºC from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of
product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to
removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Aliquot will be stable at 4ºC for 3 months. |

Application: For immunoblots:
1:1,000 followed by chemiluminescent detection (ECL). For
non-ECL western detection methods: 1/2,000. For
immunofluorescence on yeast cells: 1:2,000
